The franchise shared the image of the squad posing with the trophy, but fans quickly noticed that title-winning captain Shreyas Iyer was missing from the main picture.

The move triggered strong reactions online, with many fans accusing KKR of overlooking the player who led them to their third IPL title.

As soon as the anniversary post went live, social media was flooded with criticism directed at the franchise.
